Our CEO, Jody Rowe, has been a Board member of Sight For All for the past three years. Sight for All is a not-for-profit organisation that raises vital funds to deliver eye health care projects free of charge to Australian communities and low income countries. Chairman Dr James Muecke was named 2020 Australian of the Year for his decades of pioneering work worldwide to fight blindness.
During her time as a Board member, Jody has been an active supporter – seeing first-hand the impact of funds raised during her trip to Bhutan for ‘Trek for Sight’ in 2018, being at the forefront in pledging a donation to Sight for All’s ‘Train an Eye Specialist’ program last year and many fundraising events.
Jody said, “As my time on the Sight for All Board comes to a close I would like to thank the Muecke family and the Sight for All team for the experience and learning. Being involved in a not-for-profit has been a life changing experience and helped me truly understand the meaning of giving and commitment to those less fortunate. It opened my eyes, not only to the challenges faced by the people in some of the poorest areas in the world, but also to the immediate impact eye-health care projects have. I wish the Sight for All team the best of luck and success in their future endeavours in the fight against blindness.”
