Rowe Advisory’s CEO, Jody Rowe, reflects on her learnings during 2022, and looks forward to 2023.
I’ve learnt many lessons during the last 12 months. One of them is that personal growth is an ongoing process, and this year I’ve become more aware of what is important in my life and what I need to do to improve it.
On a personal level, I’ve learnt:
- focus on what is important – to you,
- pick friends wisely,
- avoid negative people,
- make a gratitude list a priority. List the things you are grateful for in life, such as your goals and activities. For me, this has included hikes, charity work, travel, road trips, learning, hobbies, meeting people, etc.
- integrity is key – yours and others.
On a professional level:
- look after your network – never take them for granted,
- be wise on investment and cash flow growth,
- look after good consultants and clients – they are invaluable,
- talk less, listen more,
- surround yourself with good mentors and supporters, and do the same for others.
Finally, it’s your life, and your opinions matter. You only have one life, make the most of it!
One word for 2023: Focus
In 2022, I thought a lot about what life means and what I want to achieve. There is one word that will support me in reaching these goals… Focus.
Here’s to continuing to learn and grow throughout 2023!
