“Life is like a bank account. You cannot write a cheque without first making a deposit”, Bertha Russell
In life, you can only take out what you put in. You wouldn’t approach your bank expecting to make a big withdrawal unless you’ve deposited enough to cover it, and relationships are like this too, both personal and professional. In business, relationships are key, you have to cultivate and nurture them – look after your connections. Relationships aren’t one way, and like a bank account, relationships need deposits to thrive. If you continually take out more than you put in you will deplete them.
Our CEO Jody Rowe, commented “Over my career lifetime I have been very fortunate to have people who have supported me, the business, the team, and in return we have delivered great work for them. Never ever take your network for granted. The amount of people that don’t get it floors me, it’s critical to create trust, mutual respect and to work together. If there are problems, sit down and discuss them, learn to give and take in all your relationships.”
Investing in your business relationships will pay in real long term benefits!
